....I Really Don't Know What to Title This....

Ah, the joys of walking through a big city pedestrian zone.
What I want to know is:  How did this guy figure out he could do this?

Where Are All The Pictures?!

I know!  I promised to flood my blog with photos of Belle and you have seen a whopping total of ..... one.  Well, to fix that, this post is all about pictures of beautiful Belle.  Enjoy!!

Not at all a flattering picture....but cute.  Very cute. :)

I Promise! I Can Explain!!

Not really.  I must apologize for not blogging in .... how long has it been? ..... Oh my gracious!!  It's been a week!!!  *Collective gasp*  Now, I could blame my absence on several things:
  1. The internet.
  2. School.
  3. Not having anything of importance to blog about.
  4. THE PROJECT.
Ok, so, excuses one through three are some pretty lame excuses.  But!  Excuse number four is a VERY valid excuse.  Now, you might be wondering what in the world THE PROJECT is.  I will graciously enlighten.
THE PROJECT is the result of joining a Venturing Crew (which is run by the BSA {Boy Scouts of America}.  I know!  I never thought of me as a Boy Scout either .... being a girl .... Well, I'm not really a Boy Scout ... I'm a Venturer ... None of this has made any sense .... My advice: Google it.).  Anywho!!!  My Crew is spending three days in a castle next weekend.  Burg Reinick.  It is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
^^^See what I mean?!^^^
We are going to be staying here with (up to) 95 other Venturers.  And guess what!  On Saturday night there is going to be a medieval banquet!  Uh-huh!!  So, have you guessed what THE PROJECT is yet? ..... Maybe another photo (or two)....
Because our crew was not informed of this trip before the beginning of February, everyone had to try and figure out what to do for their costumes really quickly.  I made three medieval dresses, one for me and one for both of my friends.  And my sewing machine just about died.  I am quite proud that my dress no longer looks like a table cloth....(we're all about creativity that doesn't cost much ;P).  But, I have to say that my sewing machine is not going to see me again for AT LEAST another week and a half.

I think that's a pretty good excuse, don't you?  No?  Phooey.

Introducing: Adele Cristabel the Funf!

Funf being German for "fifth" and Adele Cristabel being...well, my sister!
She was born at 5:30 pm Germany time, weighs 8 lbs. and 12 oz., and is 22 inches long.
It is now 10:30 pm and my siblings and I have been up to the hospital to see her.  She is, to say the least, beautiful! :)  Longer post and more pictures to come, once I can get to a hotspot that wont upload my photos at a snails pace AND once I get some sleep.  Tired bloggers are not pretty things, at least not in my case.

So...Um...ABOUT the Baby Countdown....

The days where all wrong...
My mom pointed this out to me.  If Cristabel's due day is the 10th and I started the countdown on the 2nd of February.... 2 + 10 = 12.  Doesn't really work ... Yes, I'm in Algebra 2. XP
I was debating whether I should just go back and change all the dates on the posts to save my pride, but then that would really be confusing, so I decided to make a full confession...
Today is day 2 in the countdown.  Time does fly doesn't it?! Hehe... *head-desk, head-desk*

Blog Bites

~  I woke up this morning, the sun was shining, the snow had melted and it was (and still is!) 50 degrees!!  That's warm, very very very VERY warm!  And then I think of the 'norm' in Hawaii ... 80s all year round ... I think the shock of below zero weather has changed my look on life for ever ...
~  I found a bag of Hawaiian sand that I had collected for my Mimi but forgot to send it to her.  I sat down, opened it and spent the next fifteen minutes letting it run through my fingers and trying not to cry ...
~  Thursday afternoon was spent sewing curtains for Belle's room:
They turned out quite nicely, if I do say so myself.
~  I recently watched 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' for my omnibus class.  Oh. My. Goodness. I loved it and can NOT wait to watch it again with my family when it gets in at the library.
~  I am still searching for a ballet school here near Lupburg.  If any of you know of one in my area please comment ... I am out of shape and scared to see how far gone my splits are ...
After watching the Scarlet Pimpernel I will randomly exclaim "Sink me!" in answer to some surprising news or just for the heck of it.  Those fellow Veritas Press students (or anyone who has seen the movie) will understand.  I strongly recommend the movie (the version with Ian Mckellen).
Annnd ... the random picture of the week is ...
~  Oh!  And, this morning my sister and I painted our bedroom yellow.  After a shower and much scrubbing my hands have finally returned to their natural color.  I will post pictures as soon as possible!
~The reason you all do not have pictures of my room in it's post-makeover splendor is because my camera gave up and died today.  RIP dear, unreliable, battered-up little point-and-shoot.

Baby Update And Countdown!!

We are on the 10 day count down till Cristabel's arrival!!  To say that I'm excited would be a massive understatement.  As I type this, my parents are at the hospital in Regensburg at her weekly check-up.  The baby's car-seat and Mom's hospital bag is in the van ready to go.  It's amazing how time flies!

And so I am starting 'The Baby Countdown'.  Each day I will post something that I love and miss about having a baby around, up until the day that Belle is born (and then my blog will drown under picture after picture of my baby sister).

Day 10
One thing I love about babies is their fresh-looking and oh-so-soft skin.

Dear Followers

Time for some interaction!!

I have been thinking about doing some new things on my blog and I would like your input on whether you would enjoy them or not.  So, that means that you're gonna have to comment and tell me what you think.
Some of my blogger friends have recently begun doing contests and give-aways and such.  I have been inspired.  Now, I don't know what I would give away or what kind of contests I would host, but I am sure the creative juices will start flowing soon and an idea will pop into my head :)
I am also working on a series for my blog....more on that later....(can't you just feel the suspense?!).
Short stories.  I LOVE to write short stories, sketches, and even poems.  I would have posted some before now but I have been a little nervous about the response they would receive.
And then there are of course the recipes, crafts, books, and movies that I would love to share and discuss with you all!
This is where you come in.  Comment and let me know what you think about these ideas and if you would enjoy seeing them in the future!
